Hello, I'm Sian and I am the owner of The Crumb Kitchen.

The Crumb Kitchen is a small bakery run from my home kitchen in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. I specialse in buttercream cakes personalised cupcakes and traybakes.

My philosopy is 'No occasion is complete without cake' so whatever you are celebrating I can create something to WOW your tasebuds.

I started The Crumb Kitchen so I could work around my family. I wanted to be able to do all the school runs, attend every school performance and be there whenever my children needed me. Working from home gave me that opportunity and baking is my happy place so The Crumb Kitchen was born.

I started by baking my children's birthday cakes which always went down a storm. The first one that made me think I could make a career out of baking was my daughters first birthday cake. I created a giant cupcake which took hours and hours to make. You can't see it but theres a metal skewer holding up an ear because it kept falling off. Despite the problems I absolutely loved all the chaos of making it and fully caught the baking bug.
